Who we are
Buildings work hard. The systems that protect them should be looked after with the same care as the buildings themselves.
Fabier is the trading name of SLES Contracts Ltd, a specialist lightning protection and electrical earthing contractor based in Essex and working across London, the South East and East Anglia. We design, supply, install, test and maintain lightning protection and earthing systems to BS EN IEC 62305:2024, BS EN 62561, BS 7430 and BS 7671, for main contractors, M&E contractors, consultants, managing agents and estate owners.
We are a small firm by choice. The people who price the job design it, the people who design it install it, and the people who install it come back to test it. We quote within 24 hours with a risk assessment attached. We price to the standard, not the drawing, and we show the options straight. We use the building you already have, its steel, its rebar, its piles and its metal roof, before we add anything to it. And we keep every building we touch on an annual test and maintenance contract with a digital record, so the certificate is never the thing you cannot find.
Fabier is part of the Project & Co group, a RICS regulated chartered surveying practice. That gives our clients a contractor with a surveyor's discipline on cost, programme and paperwork, and a group behind it.

Arran Anderson BSc (Hons)
Director and Quantity Surveyor
Arran runs Fabier and prices every job. A quantity surveyor by training, he owns the design approvals, the risk assessments, the health and safety and quality systems, and the client relationships. He is also a director of Project & Co, the chartered surveying practice Fabier belongs to.
Drew Anderson
Contracts Manager
Drew leads every site. Over 25 years in lightning protection installation, DEHN trained to BS EN 62305 Parts 1 to 4, SSSTS, IPAF. He prepares the RAMS, supervises the crews, carries out the hold point inspections and tests, and is the person the main contractor talks to on site.
Dean Ellis
Test Engineer
Dean carries out the annual inspection and testing across the Fabier test book, about sixty buildings a year, with calibrated instruments to BS EN IEC 62305-3 and BS 7430. Over 25 years in the trade.
